For over 30 years now Gardner of Florida has been a supplier into the Caribbean and Latin America . Early on the company was owned by the Spencer family and operated under the name of Spencer Engines. Gardner, Inc. purchased the company in 1996 and the company name was changed to Gardner of Florida Ltd. We have continued to develop new business opportunities in this territory and continue to do so with new lines. Twenty three other lines that we currently distribute into this whole territory. I bring to the table the following attributes:

  • Over 25 years of experience selling, and demonstrating, high-quality, industrial/commercial lawn and garden riding products (e.g. Bobcat, Bunton, Wright, Walker, Everride, etc...) and handheld products (e.g. Echo & Maruyama)
  • Experience calling on, and selling to, latin-american customers both in the distributor office setting, as well as on-site rural dealers and end-users.
  • Knowledge of selling at container quantities, and to high-volume customers.
  • Knowledge of taking start-up distributors, and developing market strategy to include distributor sales staff training, chain store personnel sales training, and sell-through support.
  • Experience developing sales through government, and municipal bid sales, country-wide roadway maintenance bids, resort/tourism and golf course sales, home center chain stores, as well as the all-important agricultural sales opportunity.
  • Bilingual ability to speak, read, and write. An intimate understanding of latin culture, and its itinerant unique customs and traditions, to enable close communications with key customers.

I have been with Gardner for 3 years now working as a customer service representative. Over the years I have acquired a vast knowledge of the lawn and garden industries, selling equipment as well as parts. 

As coordinator for the International department I provide the following services:

  • Customer service and parts look up on all product lines.
  • Receive and key in orders daily as well as provide quotes on equipment and parts.
  • Oversee the returns (RMA) and adjustment on any equipment or parts.
  • Coordinate with Freight Forwarders any Export Documents for customs purposes. (SED, IMO, Commercial Invoice, etc.) Maintain contact with LTL & Sea Freight companies on truck load and/or container orders.
  • Keep up to day files for all customers for reference.
  • Provided information on new promotions and sales.
  • Bilingual ability to speak read and write both languages.
